Don Gallery, located at No. 1863, Middle Huaihai Rd, opened to public on Dec. 1, 2007. The launch attracted many artists and art-lovers to witness the impact brought by the gallery's first exhibition, featuring two "late 80" artists.
Huang Ling is unique among a generation of young artists who use image as a language to express themselves. Huang focuses principally on the interaction between paint and canvas, and is constantly experimenting with these forms. On his recent painting, Game Time, he used the simplest of tools to make the lines come alive. Deng Zilong is a diligent young painter occupying the fringe of the art world. This borderline position gives Deng the opportunity to paint freely and not be beholden to traditional forms. His canvases evoke a calm and peculiar mood.
