Gao Fang's "Shadows and Strings" Oil Painting Exhibition
From Oct 10 to Nov 2, 2008, Dongallery will bring you "Shadows and Strings", a solo oil painting exhibition by a young artist Gao Fang. The exhibition displays Gao Fang's outstanding work since 2006, among which 5 will be shown for the first time.
Born in Changsha of Hunan Province during the late 70s in last century, Gaofang entered Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 1998 and majored in oil painting. She continued to study oil painting under the tutor of Prof. Wei Guangqing and Prof Yang Dan in Post-graduate department of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts since 2003. While other artists of her same age have devoted into modern trends, Gao Fang, who is now a professional artist, still holds onto her pursuit of art in the fringe space of the city, using her unique subtlety to express her self and her feeling to the world.
