Sandra Minchin
Sandra Minchin has a Masters Degree from the Crawford College of Art, Cork and is currently being mentored by performance artist Franko B.
She performed Jumping Up and Down and Putting on Lipstick as part of Art Trail, 2008. She is working on an exhibition entitled Philosophy of the Boudoir that will open in New York 2010. In 2007 Minchin exhibited in and curated Death and Desire, at the Sirius Arts Centre, Cobh, Co. Cork. Minchin performed Veiling of the Mind as a part of Bodily Functions in the Granary Theatre Cork. I’ve never seen your face was a two-person show in the West Cork Arts Centre in 2007. Things are never as they seem was shown in the Yarra Sculpture Space, Melbourne, Australia in 2008.
She won the Cork Printmakers Residency in Venice Award in 2006 and Best Experimental Film Script, from Cork Film Centre in 2005. She has just been awarded an Artist Busary from Cork City Council.
